The Challenge
The client was relying on external USB drives that staff had to manually plug in and take home. Backups were frequently missed, never encrypted, and had never been tested for actual file recovery, creating a huge compliance and operational risk.
Our Approach
We installed an automated Network Attached Storage (NAS) device in the office for hourly, encrypted local snapshots. We linked the NAS to an offsite cloud vault, ensuring backups were duplicated to a secure location (following the 3-2-1 backup rule) with immutable retention locks to block ransomware deletion.
