How We Improved Office Wi-Fi for an Alaska Business

Solved dropped connections, dead zones, and bandwidth bottlenecks for a local Anchorage office.

Client: Professional Office (Anchorage)

The Challenge

The client had a consumer-grade router located in a back storage room, forcing wireless signals to pass through multiple concrete firewall barriers. Employees suffered daily disconnections, and guests and staff were sharing the same insecure password-less local network.

Our Approach

We ran high-quality Cat6 ethernet cables from the back room to ceiling-mounted commercial access points placed centrally in the main workspace and meeting rooms. We separated the network into two virtual LANs: one encrypted and restricted to staff computers, and one isolated, throttled network for guest access.

Project Results

  • Zero dropped Zoom or Teams connections since installation
  • Consistent 300Mbps+ Wi-Fi speeds throughout the entire suite
  • Isolated guest network protecting internal files from unauthorized client devices
  • Centralized cloud console to monitor network performance and reboot gear remotely
